With an history of more than 600 years, Sakai is considered the “mother land” of Japanese knives.

Following the same techniques and craftsmanship that created the Katana legend, Sakai Takayuki is still producing today some of the most sought after by Japanese chefs knives. It is said that 80% of the knives used by pro chefs in Japan are made in Sakai.
