It is used for the maintenance of the blade from time to time, especially for knives made of carbon steel that are prone to rust. Camellia oil - Tsubaki is made from cold pressed oil of camellia seeds and is for the protection of blades, tools, and weapons for centuries all over Japan. This oil is an acid free non-drying, tasteless and odorless oil that is food safe and non-toxic. Apply a thin protective layer using kitchen power or towel. It will help prevent oxidation and corrosion.

It is the final step of the sharpening process and it removes the last burr from your finishing stone and most importantly, straightens the apex as well as polishes your edge. This leather strop has is designed to be sturdy with 4 rubber for the best stability and high enough to have clearance on your knucles. Made from solid hardwood and premium quality leather.
Be assured not to miss this step, it makes a lot of difference!
How to: Take your strop and make gentle long, continuous, backward (from edge to spine) strokes on the strop, making sure all the edge is covered. Change blade edge side after each stroke. With TAIRAGAIN, on the other hand, you can place the whetstone and rub it back and forth, keeping the surface flat until finished. A large-type laping plate with dimensions of 400 x 200mm, it can be used for speedy polishing even for bigger whetstones. If your whetstone is dished too much, first use the #20 side to polish out the rough surface, and finish with the #120 side or another finishing whetstone.
